Having led teams in the venture, legal and banking industries, I’ve had the opportunity to sit on all sides of the table. At Cooley, I get to help identify and accelerate what really matters to our clients.

About Kevin

Having joined Cooley in 2023 as the firm’s director of business development, Kevin leads a dynamic group of business professionals across the firm who are focused on delivering the best possible support for our clients, lawyers, investors and sector partners.

Kevin has more than 20 years of business development experience in the venture and startup ecosystems and thrives on building meaningful relationships through attentive listening and follow-up to solve problems strategically and creatively for clients and partners.

Most recently, Kevin worked with venture capitalist and political strategist Bradley Tusk at his firm Tusk Holdings. As director of business development, Kevin was responsible for building out the firm’s equity advisory group to work with startups operating in highly regulated markets. The group worked with some of the most innovative startups of the last decade by helping them solve difficult problems related to legal, government, regulatory, political, media and fundraising roadblocks.

Prior to Tusk, Kevin spent a decade at Goldman Sachs in the technology, media and telecom (TMT) investment banking division in San Francisco and also served as a founding member of the firm’s venture capital coverage team. He also led a venture development team at a global law firm and worked in a back-office role at a Sand Hill-based VC.

Kevin received a BS in Finance from Boston College and is based in San Francisco.
