About Kevin
Kevin helps emerging companies achieve smart growth. He works as outside corporate counsel with founders on company formation and ongoing corporate governance throughout each client’s life cycle. Kevin advises on transactions, including venture financings, M&A, strategic corporate relationships and equity offerings for companies and financial and corporate investors. He also represents incubators, accelerators and entrepreneurs working with startups and venture capital funds in their formation, securities offerings and investments. In addition, Kevin has represented founders personally in M&A and secondary sale transactions. He previously served as the corporate head of Cooley’s Palo Alto office, where he was corporate hiring partner from 2016 to 2020. He is currently the corporate hiring partner at the firm’s San Francisco office.
Kevin has been recognized for his work by leading journals, including The Legal 500 and Super Lawyers, and was listed in Northern California Super Lawyers’ Mergers & Acquisitions category from 2011 to 2018.

Kevin is a charter member of the C100, a nonprofit, member-driven organization that supports Canadian tech entrepreneurship through mentorship, partnership and investment. He is a former adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he taught Corporate Transactions, and a former co-teacher of Business Law at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business MBA program. In addition, Kevin has been a guest participant in classes at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and in the Stanford Continuing Studies courses The Entrepreneur’s Toolkit and The Effective Startup Board Member.
