About Kristin

Kristin focuses her practice on advising companies on data privacy and information security issues, counseling clients across a wide range of industries on legal and regulatory compliance, legal issues and risks in corporate transactions and commercial agreements, and incident response and remediation.

Prior to joining Cooley, Kristin worked in the data security and privacy and white collar defense groups at an international law firm in Washington, DC, where she provided data security, privacy, and other regulatory advice to technology companies on new product offerings and business practices. Additionally, she defended clients in high-stakes civil litigation and government investigations, including defending a cryptocurrency exchange platform from several federal inquiries. She also clerked in the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri for Judge Stephen R. Bough. Before attending law school, Kristin worked as a legislative staffer in the US Senate on technology and commerce issues.
