About Kristine
Kristine is a litigator representing clients in a variety of complex litigation matters. She has successfully defended numerous class action matters, and she represents clients in claims involving breach of contract, privacy violations, trade secrets, fraud, securities violations and unfair competition. Her clients include innovators and investors in industries such as social media, ecommerce, mobile gaming, medical technology, personal electronics, transportation and education.
In addition, Kristine regularly advises on, and pursues, insurance coverage for clients. She has achieved fast and favorable resolutions for numerous clients confronting denials of coverage or reservations of rights by their insurance carriers.
Kristine’s practice also includes environmental advice and litigation. She assists with environmental due diligence, and she counsels clients on environmental risks in business and real estate transactions.
Kristine’s recent experience includes:
- Securing a full dismissal for Google in a putative class action lawsuit asserting that Google’s Cloud Contact Center AI technology (CCAI) violates the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA)
- Defending a social media company and chief inventor against breach of contract and fraud claims at trial in the US District Court for the Northern District of California
- Defending a social media company against trade secret claims at trial in the US District Court for the Northern District of California
- Representing a medical technology company in a series of class actions alleging violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act
- Obtaining a successful settlement for a social media company in a large class action alleging violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act
- Obtaining complete dismissal of claims against a mobile gaming company related to the company’s online terms of service
- Defending two mobile gaming companies in separate class actions alleging violations of the California Family Code’s protections relating to minors
- Successfully obtaining dismissal of fraud and copyright claims for a venture capital firm
- Successfully obtaining a summary judgment for an ecommerce client in a class action alleging consumer fraud and breach of contract
- Representing a shareholder representative firm in Chancery Court bringing claims that a large pharmaceutical company had breached a merger agreement
- Representing the former officer of a major public company in a securities fraud dispute
- Obtaining successful dismissal of an enforcement action against a technology client by the Alaska Department of Revenue
