
About Lauren
Lauren represents clients in complex commercial disputes, with a particular focus on antitrust litigation, cartel defense and white-collar investigations. Her clients include national trade associations and some of the world’s largest public companies. She has experience in motion practice, trial work and private arbitration and also represents clients in US Department of Justice (DOJ) and state attorneys general investigations. In addition, Lauren maintains an active pro bono practice.
Before rejoining Cooley, Lauren was a law clerk for Judge James S. Gwin of the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Lauren’s representative matters include:
- Defending Seaview Insurance Company in an antitrust class action involving 15+ defendants in the US District Court for the Northern District of California
- Defending Google against an advertising-related antitrust claim in the Northern District of California
- Representing six higher education institutions in a financial aid-related antitrust class action in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois
- Representing the National Association of Realtors in antitrust litigation in multiple federal courts
- Representing a public tech company in cooperating with a DOJ Antitrust Division investigation
- Representing a healthcare tech company in responding to a state attorney general investigation
- Representing a major nongovernmental organization in investigating and responding to attacks on its aid workers in a conflict zone
- Counseling multiple clients on antitrust risk analysis related to participation in trade organizations
