Liza Hadley

Drawing on her technical background and legal experience, Liza brings combined strengths in helping clients navigate technology related transactions and intellectual property aspects of strategic agreements. Liza prides herself on getting to know clients and their business in order to provide tactical advice on how to best protect and use their IP and technology for real-world value. Liza counsels clients in drafting and negotiating complex commercial, intellectual property and technology agreements and frequently advises on intellectual property matters in connection with various corporate transactions.

Liza’s practice includes commercial development and distribution agreements, software and IP licensing, SaaS agreements, terms of use, and advising on intellectual property and technology matters on both sides of M&A transactions and financings. Liza also has robust experience with strategically developing, managing, and protecting clients’ patent portfolios in the US and abroad, as well as advising on non-infringement and patent invalidity matters. These representations span a variety of technologies, including medical devices, education, health care management, power generation, management and delivery systems, imaging systems, and automotive technologies.

Prior to law school, Liza was a patent examiner with the US Patent and Trademark Office focusing on patent applications in the field of internal combustion engine control systems.
