About Mark

Mark Weeks specializes in corporate and securities law with an emphasis on representing emerging and public growth companies, as well as investment banking firms and venture capital investors. Mark counsels companies throughout their lifecycle on matters ranging from pre-incorporation planning, company formations, fundraising strategies, private financings, IPOs and follow-on equity and debt offerings as well as M&A, spinoffs and other complex business collaborations, corporate governance and SEC reporting. He has represented companies and investment banks in well over 200 public offerings.

Mark has been counsel to companies in biotechnology, communications, consumer, hardware, healthcare IT, internet, digital health, digital commerce/social media/games, medical device, software, retail and semiconductor industries.

Mark is very involved in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco startup communities through his involvement with leading incubators, accelerators, and university programs. His connections to venture capital firms are also invaluable to his clients in their fundraising process.

Mark previously served on the board of the American Heart Association's Research Roundtable and, for six years, he served as the co-chair of the AHA Research Roundtable Board.
