About Mateus
Mateus practices general corporate and securities law, representing emerging and high-growth companies through all stages of their life cycle. His practice covers a variety of general corporate and transactional matters including entity formation, organization and governance, private financings, M&A, and public offerings. He also represents investors in an array of venture capital financings and other matters.
During law school, Mateus provided legal assistance to low-income entrepreneurs as part of the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship.
Before law school, Mateus researched the effects of cannabidiol and melatonin receptors in pain modulation.
Mateus was raised in Singapore and spent five years in Montreal, Canada.
