
About Miriam
Miriam’s practice focuses on the transactional and litigation aspects of complex business restructuring and reorganization, including out-of-court transactions, Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and cross-border insolvency matters. Outside of her restructuring practice, Miriam has experience representing pro bono clients in immigration and human rights matters.
Miriam’s representative matters include representing:
- Official committees of unsecured creditors in prominent Chapter 11 cases around the US – including AIO US (Avon) and Whittaker Clark & Daniels
- Purchasers of assets in sales pursuant to section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code – including AMASS Brands in its acquisition of assets from Winc and Zoll Medical Corporation in its acquisition of assets from Vyaire Medical
- Cupar Grimmond, a secured creditor, in the Chapter 11 cases of WeWork and certain of its affiliates in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey
- A not-for-profit organization that owns and is a lead operator of senior living communities in out-of-court transactions and Chapter 11 cases
- Compu-Link (doing business as Celink), the largest unsecured creditor and chair of the unsecured creditors’ committee, in the Chapter 11 cases of Reverse Mortgage Investment Trust and certain of its affiliates in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware
- Debtors in prominent Chapter 11 proceedings across various industries – including Quanergy Systems, Voyager Digital Holdings,* Katerra,* JCPenney,* BJ Services,* Carlson Travel,* Stage Stores,* Bluestem Brands,* Murray Energy Holdings,* Barneys New York* and Aegean Marine Petroleum Network*
- PizzaExpress Financing 2 plc* in its Chapter 15 proceeding in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas for recognition of proceedings in the UK in connection with its restructuring plan under the new Part 26A of the Companies Act 2006*
