Nick focuses on securities litigation, corporate governance and shareholder-related disputes, including cases related to the defense of securities class actions, derivative suits, and mergers & acquisitions. He also represents clients in connection with Securities and Exchange Commission investigations and civil enforcement actions, as well as internal corporate investigations.

- The Honest Company in a securities class action arising out of its 2021 initial public offering
- The former directors of Qualcomm in a securities class action alleging Qualcomm made misstatements that it licensed its standard-essential patents on a nondiscriminatory basis to the cellular industry

Before joining Cooley, Nick was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in its Palo Alto and Century City offices.
During law school, Nick served as a legal intern in the Division of Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s San Francisco Regional Office. Nick also served as an articles editor in the Michigan Technology Law Review, and he worked as a research assistant to law professor Gabriel Rauterberg on issues concerning Delaware corporate law.
