Phoebe Yiu

Phoebe focuses her practice on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the biological sciences. She also assists in intellectual property due diligence and freedom-to-operate analysis. Her practice covers a wide range of areas, including cell therapies, fusion proteins, antibodies, immunotherapies and cancer therapeutics.

Prior to joining Cooley, Phoebe completed her PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Irving Weissman at Stanford University studying the impact of genetic polymorphisms on immune cell function and cancer immunotherapy outcomes. Her undergraduate research at University of California, San Diego, focused on identifying therapeutic drugs for the treatment of helminth infection, a neglected tropical disease.
