About Rachel
Rachel M. Burns works with emerging and high-growth companies and their investors in connection with entity formation, organization and governance, venture capital financing, M&A and public offerings. She represents companies in a wide range of industries.
Prior to joining Cooley, Rachel was an associate at the Silicon Valley office of an international law firm, where she worked with companies at all stages of the business lifecycle, from formation to expansion to exit. While at her prior firm, Rachel served on the local pro bono committee and was honored for her outstanding commitment to pro bono services.
At UC Berkeley School of Law, Rachel was senior notes and comments editor of the California Law Review. She also served as professor’s assistant in property law and judicial extern to the Honorable John T. Noonan Jr. of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
