About Rachel
Rachel represents public and private pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other life sciences companies in a wide range of IP-related and commercial transactions, including licensing agreements, research collaborations, and strategic partnering agreements.
Before joining the firm, Rachel held increasing levels of responsibility as a patent agent and intellectual property manager at both law firms and in biotechnology companies. In those roles, Rachel led worldwide IP strategy and prosecution of patent portfolios in a broad array of technology areas including gene-editing, antibodies, and genomics and transcriptomics. She has guided companies through pre-acquisition IP due diligence activities and post-acquisition target integrations, as well as counseled companies on intellectual property matters related to the product development lifecycle.
Rachel obtained her PhD in biological chemistry where she studied microRNA processing proteins using techniques in x-ray crystallography and biochemistry.
