About Rebecca

Rebecca handles a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts. She focuses on securities class actions and white collar investigations, as well as defending companies and individuals in investigations conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Department of Justice (DOJ) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Rebecca has represented public and private companies in industries such as biotechnology, fintech, software as a service, cryptocurrency, and entertainment and gaming.

Rebecca’s representative matters include:

  • Obtaining voluntary dismissal for M1 Finance in multidistrict antitrust litigation
  • Securing dismissal of class action privacy claims against a dozen clients – including Costco, Gap and Edward Jones
  • Obtaining dismissal of securities class action claims on behalf of multiple pharmaceutical companies
  • Representing a cryptocurrency company in investigations by the SEC, DOJ, CFTC and multiple state securities agencies
  • Conducting an internal investigation on behalf of an ecommerce company

Publications

Rebecca also maintains an active pro bono practice focused primarily on voting and civil rights. 

Rebecca graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she served as chair of the Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law and co-chair of the moot court team, volunteered with the Micro-Enterprise Program and worked in the Pepperdine Startup Law Clinic.
