About Ross
Ross D. Mecham is an eDiscovery attorney and manager in the Litigation and eDiscovery Services team and member of the Cooley litigation department. Ross’ practice focuses on electronic discovery law and management of electronically stored information in litigation.
Ross advises clients to improve their understanding and management of eDiscovery demands, reducing risks and costs through the use of technology and efficient, defensible workflows. With extensive experience across all phases of discovery, his career spans state, federal, and international matters, as well as the development of internal corporate discovery practices. Working in numerous industries for corporate, individual, and public sector clients, prior cases include intellectual property, employment, and business tort actions, data breach and internal investigations, and regulatory requests.
Prior to joining Cooley, Ross was an in-house consultant for JGC Oceania in Western Australia. At the University of California, San Diego, Ross captained the men’s water polo team, graduating with a BA in Philosophy, then earned his JD from Santa Clara University School of Law. He is a member of the California State Bar.
