Dr. Shanxi (Sandra) Feng

Shanxi (Sandra) focuses her practice on representing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on the procurement and protection of intellectual property. Sandra develops and manages US and foreign patent portfolios for clients and coordinates strategies to meet clients' IP needs and business goals. She drafts and prosecutes patent applications in antibodies, therapeutic polypeptides, antibody drug conjugates, gene therapies, cell therapies and diagnostic assays.

While in law school, Sandra acquired substantial legal research and writing experience during her first federal externship with Judge James V. Selna and second federal externship with the Patent Pilot Program in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. During her PhD training, Sandra worked on developing and optimizing engineered polypeptide probes to visualize dynamic changes in neurons.
