Cooley lawyers Bobby Ghajar, Mark Weinstein, Kathleen Hartnett, Judd Lauter and Colette Ghazarian were recognized as Litigators of the Week in The American Lawyer’s Litigation Daily column.
The Cooley team secured an early victory on behalf of Meta Platforms in a closely watched class action lawsuit when the US District Court for the Northern District of California sided with Meta in its motion to dismiss multiple claims brought by individuals regarding Meta’s LLaMA generative artificial intelligence tool.
The outcome was one of the first decisions concerning copyright claims made against a generative AI text-based tool.
