John Alec Stouras

John Alec focuses on providing technology and digital entertainment entrepreneurs the legal support they need to succeed. As an associate in the technology transactions practice group, his main goal is to give clients advice on intellectual property and technology-related matters for corporate transactions. John Alec also assists his clients with a wide range of other matters, including mergers & acquisitions, financing and other commercial transactions.

John Alec arrived at Cooley out of law school. During law school, he worked with entrepreneurs and boutique law firms on various transaction- and data privacy-related matters. John Alec received the Tech Edge JD certificate, which prepares law students with the critical skills desired by employers in technology industries. Before law school, he pursued a career as a bartender and in the film industry, where he did film theory and film production work.
