Sagimet Biosciences’ is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel fatty acid synthase inhibitors designed to target dysfunctional metabolic pathways in diseases resulting from the overproduction of the fatty acid palmitate. Partners John McKenna, Natalie Karam and Denny Won led the Cooley team.

Cooley advised the underwriters in the upsized initial public offering of Sagimet Biosciences, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, at $85 million.
