Cooley represented Japanese-founded RegCell in its transition to being a US-based company in connection with the closing of $45.8 million of funding, consisting of $8.5 million in seed financing – co-led by The University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners and Fast Track Initiative – and up to $37.3 million in nondilutive funding from Japan’s Agency for Medical Research and Development. Lawyers Dave Peinsipp, Sale Kwon and Yichen Liu led the Cooley team advising RegCell, a developer of cell therapies intended to treat autoimmune diseases and cancer.

Cooley advised LFX Venture Partners, a knowledge-based investor focusing on first, middle, and last-mile cutting-edge technologies and disruptive business models that drive innovation in the global value chain, on its investment in Pipe17’s $15.5 million Series A financing round. Partner Sale Kwon led the Cooley team advising LFX Venture Partners.

Cooley advised Samsung Venture Investment Corporation – the corporate venture capital arm of Samsung Group, based in Seoul, South Korea – on its investment in Pison Technology. Partner Sale Kwon led the Cooley team advising Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, which frequently invests in technology companies in various sectors, including the semiconductor, telecommunications, software, internet, bioengineering and medical sectors, across Europe, Asia and North America.

Cooley advised Decagon, an innovator in artificial intelligence (AI) customer support agents, on its $65 million Series B financing round, bringing its total amount raised to $100 million.

Cooley advised Logik.io, the company that reimagines configure, price and quote (CPQ) and consumerizes enterprise selling experiences, on its $25 million Series B funding to accelerate CPQ innovation and further expand company growth.
