Cooley advised Dimension as lead investor in Automata’s 33.1-million-pound Series C financing. Automata, an automation company helping life sciences rapidly innovate, diagnose and discover at scale, will use the funds to accelerate its rapid growth and industry presence across the US, UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Partner Aaron Archer led the Cooley team advising Dimension, a first-of-its-kind firm partnering with founders at the intersection of technology and life sciences.

Cooley advised Chainalysis, a blockchain data platform, on its $170 million Series F preferred stock financing round, bringing its valuation to $8.6 billion – up from $4.2 billion following its Series E preferred stock financing round last year. Lawyers Andrew Gunther, Jodie Bourdet and Darwin Ng led the Cooley team advising Chainalysis.

Cooley advised customer engagement platform Braze on its $572 million initial public offering of 8,800,000 shares of Class A common stock, which now trade on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol BRZE. Cooley advised SmartAsset, a technology company that connects consumers to financial advisors, on its $110 million Series D financing round, which brings its valuation to more than $1 billion. Roy Moran, Kevin Cooper, Andrew Gunther and Pat Mitchell led the Cooley team advising SmartAsset.
