Cooley advised Avid Bioservices (Nasdaq: CDMO), a dedicated biologics contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) working to improve patient lives by providing high quality development and manufacturing services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, on its definitive merger agreement to be acquired by funds managed by GHO Capital Partners and Ampersand Capital Partners in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.1 billion.

Cooley advised Battery Ventures, a global, technology-focused investment firm, and PageUp Group, a human resources and talent software company that had been majority owned by Battery, on the sale of PageUp to EQT Group.

Cooley advised Bluestar Alliance – a company that owns, manages and markets a portfolio of consumer brands that span across many tiers of distribution, from luxury to mass market, with a heavy emphasis on department store retail brands – on its partnership with Hilco Global and TPG Angelo Gordon’s new joint venture.
